That was some show! I watched from New Biggin Fell near Silverdale and spent a couple of hours lying on my back as the sky caught fire above me. I have a handful of still images which I'll share later, but for now here's a timelapse film of the beauty that brought us home.

The whole experience was surreal. It teased before it danced and then, well we all came away awestruck. The cold air finally got to me, frost forming around my feet. But hey, it’s only pain which is placed into insignificance with the scale and wonder of what was opening up in the sky.

I absolutely love your creative videos Jason.. they are soooo well crafted! and the journey they take us on just sublime.. even though I too walk out in nature most days to reset my batteries.. You know I can’t help thinking how much people would love these if they can’t get out for some reason.. maybe house bound due to disabilities or in care homes or hospitals.. the benefits would be amazing I bet… mind you.. not everyone is computer literate.. I work as a companion to elderly disabled people… Keep up the good work! Shona x

And for all the wonder and majesty and shimmering transience of it all, what really drew me “home” was the Image of Great Bear Ursa Major (The Plough constellation) staying constant and visible through the first few seconds of your film. The “pointer” stars orientating towards Polaris, North Star, Tara, Dhruva, call her what you will. “My” lode-star… Thank you!
