The journey around The Bay begins

A few years ago I undertook a 14 month journey during which I spent a day a week exploring the coast of north west England from the Welsh to the Scottish border. I called it Outland.

Now, as Nicola and I have moved to the Silverdale headland I'm about to deepen into the middle section of this glorious coastline. Morecambe Bay is calling and I'm responding by creating an in depth body of work that I hope will share the beauty of the place in all it's colours.

The view from Hutton Roof last night was something else and caught Nicola and I for so long we had to walk back in the dark. The transitions of colour, shadow and light paired with the occasional passage of Starling mumurations made for an unforgettable evening.

Let's see where this part of the Earthlight journey goes.
