A Farewell to Mull

Jason // July 27 // 27 Comments

As I pack the van, stow away my camera gear and have a final brew by the beach I offer this libation to this wonderful land, and make a promise to return again soon.

To the many beings of Mull.

Thank you for sharing your magic and majesty,

for revealing your secrets in the corners and the corries.

Bless you for showing me your beauty, your power and your peace.

Your raw wildness seeped into my heart and soul,

enlivening my spirit and surfacing memories of a life well lived.

I revelled in your rains, your gales, your sun and your tides.

May I take a small piece of you home in my heart,

and leave a sliver of my soul in yours.

‘Til we meet again as the days shorten,

and autumn veils your vibrant colours.
